Founder and Managing Director of Cosmos Sales Professional, Chris Cosmos, has spent the last 13 years of his career successfully selling and managing sales executives in the staffing and consulting industry. As a staffing industry leader, Chris has had the opportunity to mentor, train and coach hundreds of sales executives providing them with valuable insights, behavioral techniques and motivation to dramatically improve their book of business.
In October of 2010, he founded Cosmos Sales Professional to mitigate the tremendous disconnect between business owners and their sales representatives, and to repair the unfavorable reputation the staffing industry sales profession has within the buying community...one sales representative at a time.
With over a decade of experience, Chris has developed and implemented sales methodologies specific to the needs individual organizations within the staffing industry and has provided numerous sales playbooks for these organizations as well. Selling and solving the various and unique business challenges for a customer is a science as much as it is an art form.
Chris spent the first ten years of his career in the staffing industry as a senior level executive at the Nelson Family of Companies, a $365MM San Francisco Bay Area firm, providing contract and permanent staffing services, as well as developing software specific to the workforce management process. He has a wealth of knowledge in IT staffing, RPO, contingent workforce services, risk and VMS. His passion and expertise is in consulting, training and virtual sales management within the staffing industry.
In 2003 and 2004, Chris was the elected President of the Northern California chapter of the National Association of Computer Consultant Businesses (NACCB), a trade association, with close to 400 member companies from around the globe and total revenues exceeding $4 billion. Chris served as a member of the TechServe Alliance Board of Directors from 2004 to 2010, joining the Executive team from 2005 to 2010. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute. Chris was a certified Miller Heiman Trainer for four years who has had numerous public speaking engagements on the sales process within staffing, understanding "selling time", cold calling techniques and motivation. He has been interviewed by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, the My Technology Lawyer Radio Show, The Economist, Readers Digest and US Chamber of Commerce.
